Refund Policy

1. All sales are final
Hoopoe Press sells digital products — ebooks, audiobooks, courses, and bundles — that are delivered immediately upon successful payment. Once access is granted, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds for change of mind, for content that did not meet expectations, or because a book turned out to be shorter, longer, or different in tone than anticipated.
This policy reflects the nature of digital goods: once delivered, they cannot be returned in any meaningful sense.
2. Exceptions
We will issue a refund in the following situations:
- Duplicate purchase: you were charged twice for the same product through no fault of your own.
- Failed delivery: a technical problem on our side prevents you from accessing a product you paid for, and we cannot resolve it after reasonable effort.
- Unauthorised charge: the purchase was made without your permission (e.g. card fraud). Contact us promptly and file a dispute with your card issuer.
Outside these situations, refund requests will be politely declined.
3. How to request
Email [email protected] with your order reference (from the confirmation email) and a brief description of the issue. We reply within five working days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe; the card issuer typically posts the credit within five to ten working days.
4. Governing law
This refund policy is governed by Swiss law. Swiss consumer law does not grant a statutory right of withdrawal for digital goods sold online; the exceptions above are our voluntary goodwill policy.
5. Buyers in the EU / EEA
Under EU law, consumers may have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases. This right does not apply to digital content that is supplied immediately with the consumer's express agreement and acknowledgement that the right of withdrawal is thereby lost (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(m)). By completing checkout for a digital product at Hoopoe Press, you expressly agree to immediate delivery and acknowledge that your 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply.
